For the last 16 years or so of my life R&B music has been the core of what I listen. R. Kelly, Toni Braxton & Mary J Blige are amongst the artists who will forever be featured on my r&b playlist. Despite the commercially favoritism of Mary, Faith Evans is has an illustrious resume which provides evidence of her being the First Lady. Faith Renee’ Evans (39) has written some of your favorite songs in the 90’s, married your favorite rapper too, won some Grammies and even became a best-selling author. Throughout Faith’s career her success has been evident but her personal life private. As a mother of 4 she has always been a mother first and a superstar second. As a fan of her’s I would yearn for more of Faith during her 2-3 year hiatus’.
Even though she would go away she would always come back different but still the same ole Faye as she’s say. Whether the comeback was with a stunning makeover, a christmas album or an acting role Faith always gave you business with some great listening pleasure. Recently in 2010 she released her sixth studio album Something About Faith (you can always count on her name in the title). While achieving independent album success she continued to work on other business ventures such as collaborating with Glass Hair products and now as the starring lead/executive producer of the August 2012 TV-One reality show “R&B Divas.” She along with Syleena Johnson, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah & Keke Wyatt will be featured on the new reality show highlighting their individual careers as well as their friendships. Faith has always maintained a steady work flow shown by her popular cameo on the 2012 BET Awards paying tribute to music legends Frankie Beverly & Maze. Or you can even catch her on the radio doing interviews such as tonight’s 10pm cameo on the widely sydicated Steven Knight Show. Whether you like it or not it looks like you’ll be keeping the Faith a little while longer.
